QPR thrashed 4-0

I turned down the chance to go to Leicester to watch QPR's chance to put more points between them and League One football next season, and thank goodness I did.

Neil Warnock's men, although widely lauded for having put in a few good battling performances recently, were thoroughly spanked. Warnock will be wondering what he needs to do as they travel back down the M1 this evening and the new owners, rid at last of strange man of sport Fabio Briatore, will be very nervous about their new investment indeed.

What seems like a very long time ago indeed I wondered whether this season was going to deliver what it promised, the chance of promotion to the top flight. Now the long suffering fans of W12 will be looking at the adverts being pushed out by Loftus Road for new season tickets for 2010-2011 with a wry and bitter smile.
