Hammersmith cyclist killed on road named

Naoko was from Japan, aged 35, and rode to Hammersmith daily from her home in Wandsworth, according to last night's Evening Standard. She was killed outright by what was reported to be a rubbish lorry. Her post mortem is today and no arrests have been made.

In my original post on this tragedy one fellow cyclist who came across the immediate aftermath of the accident posted a comment on how it had affected her, while another person left details of a petition which urges the Mayor to take what would be very simple but potentially very effective action to safeguard cyclists. You can read both in the comments section here.
