Not the first suspiciously pro-post on this site. You can of course say whatever you wish, but there are problems with it as Chris has pointed out. <br /><br />No one is ever going to support a rise in taxes - but even the Conservatives have accepted that taxes must rise to deal with the deficit. If they don't, I just don't see how any of their plans to deal with debt can work out.<br /><br />People talk about squeezing savings out of bureaucracy, and doing more for less, but the fact of the matter is that to make the sort of savings everyone's talking about you have to up tax and NI is just as good a place as any.
